Parent Connection
The Parent Connection is something that we do because we want you as parents to stay informed and up to speed on what we are doing within the student ministry!!! We meet once a month in room 109/110 at 8pm to review dates, events, etc. We also have a brief devotion designed to help you as a parent!!! We encourage all students to participate in these meetings with at least one of their parents!!!

Important info for parents to know:
What we believe: Please click on this link to see what we believe as a church! Our Beliefs
Why we exist: We exist to provide a ministry that is especially geared towards students. We want to engage them wherever they are no matter their background, social status, or skin color. We want to provide an atmosphere that is inviting and accepting at a time in their life that is filled with so much rejection and pressure. We also strive to provide structure and discipline. Deep down I really believe that teenagers want to know what they can and can not do. We do our best to let them know the biblical guidelines that will help them live freely in their relationship with Christ, but protect them from the tricks and traps of the devil in a world filled with so many temptations. We teach and preach the word of God! God said in Isaiah 55:11 "It [His word] will not return void." At the end of the day, whether Sunday, Wednesday, or anytime we are together, we want to make sure our students leave knowing that they have had a fresh encounter with our resurrected Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. With that in mind we have a simple philosophy that we have adopted as a student ministry: "It is God's word that changes students, God's Spirit that transforms students, and God's people that reach students."
We would love a chance to meet you and your students and help you in anyway we can!!! God bless you and hope to see you soon!!!
What we do: We do all kinds of neat things here! Opportunities to get involved:
Praise Band - We have some talented musicians who lead us in worship on Wednesday nights during our service! If you play an instrument or can sing we would love plug you into our praise band!
Student Leader - Right now we are currently full in this department, but will be adding more once the class of 2010 graduates. A student leader must be in high school, be a student of integrity and be growing in their walk with Christ!!! If you would like to know more of the requirements for being a student leader contact Pastor Bryan.
Sunday School - We meet every Sunday morning at 9:10am in the youth suite upstairs as a group for a few announcements, then we break up into small age appropriate groups. This would be a great way for your student to meet some more kids their age!
Sunday night small group bible study - (When in session) Currently their is a high school girls bible study going on. They meet at 4:30pm in the high school girls Sunday school classroom.
Summer Mission Projects - Every Thursday during the summer from 8am-4pm we will be meeting behind the church to "Go" and reach out to our community! Hope that you will join us! Mission Projects include: working with senior adults, assisting various ministries within the CSRA, yard maintenance, assisting the homeless, etc. See our Mission Page for more info!!!
Powerlife Student Camp - Every summer for the past several years we have attended this camp! In my opinion as a youth pastor it is one of the best in the country! Its main emphasis is the teaching and preaching of the Word of God, exaltation of Christ, and worship!!! We are blessed every time we go! Prices and dates for the 2011 trip will be announced around January 1st, 2011. Stay tunned and know that we would love for your student(s) to go with us!
Summer Mission Trip - This past June we went to New Orleans and were able to minister to folks who are still in great need after Hurricane Katrina! We had a great trip and we are currently making plans for our upcoming 2011 Mission Trip!
*If you have any questions please feel free to contact us!!! We look forward to helping you in anyway we can!
