Bill Hilley, Pastor One of the greatest blessings of my life is the gift of being raised in a Christian home by God fearing parents. Unfortunately, my stubbornly rebellious nature rejected their instruction for many years. I tried unsuccessfully to escape my “God-awareness” until finally surrendering my life to Jesus Christ in August of 1979 at the age of 26. Since the age of ten my greatest fear was that getting right with God would surely result in a call to “preach”, which seemed highly undesirable. Surely God has a sense of humor and has chosen to use me in this capacity even though I resisted it for so much of my life. I praise the Lord for His Patient Persistence with me and sense a great responsibility to share His Love and Goodness with all I encounter. My prayer is that God will continue to use me in some small way to reach our world for Christ through the ministry of Grace Baptist Church of Evans.

Chris Kerley, Minister of Education/Missions Chris began working with teenagers in Youth Ministry when he was a student in college. While spending more than twenty years working in sales and management for a major industrial supplier, Chris continued to work with and minister to teenagers as a lay person. In two of his last company transfers, Chris had the opportunity to serve as Youth Director for two different churches. As he was experiencing his most successful years with his company and after winning their “President's Award”, Chris and his wife, Ann, felt God's leading and call to serve Him full time in ministry. In the spring of 1995, Chris and Ann surrendered to God's call on their lives and in October of that year, Chris joined the staff of Grace Baptist Church as Minister of Students. God continues to richly bless the Kerley's for their faithfulness and obedience in leaving the security and comfort of the corporate world to follow Him in ministry. Chris's greatest desire is to see our young people grow in their relationship with the Lord.

Bryan Carter, Minister of Students After playing baseball professionally for 5 years with the San Francisco Giants organization, I surrendered to full-time gospel ministry in the spring of 2005. I knew that I was supposed to be in the ministry I just didn't know "what, where, or how." Immediately God began to open the door towards student ministry. A few months later, in the summer of 2005, I became the full-time minister of students at Trinity Baptist Church in Ocala, FL where my wife Rachel and I served for 22 months before God called us to Grace. This past June (2009) we celebrated the birth of our first child!!! A baby girl and her name is Jadyn. She is going on six months old and she is truly a blessing from the Lord!!! God has a great plan for Grace Baptist Church and it is our desire to help us reach our potential through the student ministry. It is an honor to serve as minister of students here at Grace. We look forward to meeting you! God bless you and keep your eyes of Jesus!!!!

Brent Odom, Praise and Worship Leader Growing up as a “preacher’s kid” I have been involved with church my entire life. At a very early age I began to develop a love for music while sitting beside my grandmother on the piano stool – watching her every move and taking it all in. At the age of five I began to play piano and later as a teenager joined my first “youth choir” to begin exploring worship through singing. As God would have it, when I was 15 years old, my dad was called to be the Pastor of Double Branches Baptist Church in Lincolnton, GA. The music director at the time was having a baby and I was asked to “fill in a couple of weeks” and I have been involved in church music ever since. It’s hard to believe that as I am approaching 40 years old that I have been blessed to be a part of the music ministry now for almost 25 years – more than half my life! God has done some amazing things in my life and I count it such a joy and privilege to be able to serve Him in an area of ministry that I truly love. I am also blessed to have a wife who shares in my love of music. God has richly blessed Ashlee with a natural musical talent and I am proud to serve along side of her each and every week. We love our church family and look forward with anticipation for what God has in store for us all here at Grace Baptist Church.

Tricia Mason, Children's Ministry Director Raised up in church most of my childhood, I was keenly aware of God and His authoritativeness. Never wanting to displease or anger God, I walked the straight and narrow path as a youth and young adult. However, it wasn’t until May 7, 1995 that I realized there was more to this loving and merciful God and that I needed and desired a personal relationship with Him through His son, Jesus Christ. So, it was on that day that I surrendered my heart and life to The LORD.
I had been working 15 years, for a Christian Physician, and loved my job when I felt God calling me into Vocational Ministry. I began working at Grace Baptist Church, as Administrative Support, on November 3rd, 2003. I have always enjoyed working with children; serving many years as a Sunday school teacher and various other volunteer positions. I had taken a break from serving in children’s ministry for about 3 years when in early 2008, God began to show me that He wanted me back in children’s ministry. It was in August of that year that I began to serve as Children’s Ministry Assistant. One year later, God placed the call on my life to surrender completely to Vocational Ministry as Children’s Ministry Director. It is my heart’s desire to see children come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, to grow daily in their relationship with Him, and serve Him all the days of their lives. It is an honor and privilege to serve God, at Grace, and I thank Him for the opportunity to minister to the children. Please let me know if I can ever be of service to you and your family. Blessings!
