From Your Pastor

Dear Grace Family and Friends,

I missed you all last Sunday.  I’m grateful for “live stream” technology but it’s not the same as being here.  I struggle to understand the thinking of folks who’d rather just “watch from home.”  They’re missing out on a huge part of “being the Church.”  I realize some are unable to attend.  My heart goes out to them.  We ought to do everything in our power to ensure they know they are missed.  After all, they’re still “family.”  But I pray for those who could be in Church and choose not to be.  If we’re right with God we will want to participate in “corporate worship” at every opportunity.  Why?  Our God is worthy of our praise and adoration and love.  When that’s our attitude we should do everything in our power to instill the same mindset in our children and grandchildren.  They’re surely going to need it.  It saddens me to see what’s happening in our world.  The unrest on college campuses tells us who is in control in that environment.  For far too long our “institutions of higher learning” have been indoctrination centers that the forces of darkness use to turn our children away from the things of God.  We need to make sure that “Truth” has been etched on their hearts and minds before allowing them to be exposed to such lunacy.  We also need to pray for our President and Congressional leaders.  Our nation is under attack.  Anarchists are determined to disrupt the stability we enjoy.  That, too, is a trick of the devil.  Sadly, many don’t recognize this is a battle of good versus evil.  We are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ our Lord.  But experiencing that victory implies exercising our faith on a daily basis.  His love needs to be shining brightly in and thru His people.  There is hope.  His name is Jesus.  It’s up to us to share Him with others. Doing so credibly, however, requires that the difference He has made in our lives is  obvious.  Is that our testimony?  It won’t be popular but it will be powerful!  I love you all!  God bless you!
